With finances how they are, I think Thanksgiving this year is going to consist of TV dinners and movies, probably lots of World of Warcraft. If we're lucky, maybe a cheap bottle of wine!

Friedrich Gustav Emil Martin Niemöller (14 January 1892 – 6 March 1984) was a prominent German anti-Nazi theologian and Lutheran pastor. He is best known as the author of the poem First they came....

For his opposition to the Nazis' state control of the churches, Niemöller was imprisoned in Sachsenhausen and Dachau concentration camps from 1937 to 1945. He narrowly escaped execution and survived imprisonment. After his imprisonment, he expressed his deep regret about not having done enough to help the victims of the Nazis.

Going to drive up anyway and hope for the best. Job hunting up there might be delayed by a couple weeks to smog the car up there and hope it passes.

It's getting closer and closer to the time to move... I can't wait.

No, really. It's absolutely beautiful weather outside lately, but nothing but gloom and rain inside. Ugh...

On a different note, outside it smells like jasmine and bougainvillea. It's still a little crisp outside, but for that smell I might make an exception.

Oddly enough, the smell makes me think of a friend's character, Cori, even though he's masculine...huh.

After getting pretty cheesed off just now, I realized, "Eff them, I've got people that matter more."

This particular thank you is to Sari, who has done amazingly wonderful things to my emotional state today, and I don't think 'thank you' in every language imaginable would even begin to cover it. Thanks, luv! You're my man-me-mate!

Oh RP, why do you make me so emo? Why do you love to raise my hopes only to destroy them?

Next week, hopefully Grant and I will be up in nor-cal for Friday-Monday. If anyone wants to hang out, let me know now so I can plan around crap.

I've been watching election coverage, and I'm so proud to see Obama pull ahead so far. I really really hope that 8 doesn't pass.

So the whole birthday thing was kind of fun today. Grant and I got some food at the japanese market and went to the beach to eat it, and watch some people learn to surf. Then, we went to Barnes and Noble and poked at books for a while. After that, we browsed at Big Lots for a bit, then came home and made iced tea.

After that we mostly played WoW all day, got some work done on a costume I promised to make someone before Halloween... *is totally not cutting it close...really* Anyway, now I'm going to go curl up in bed with TV and my cow plush.

Thank you to aniki for calling me today and wishing me a happy birthday! I haven't been called Keisuke in ages, and it really made my day! <3
